Super excited to have 15 Next Level athletes racing in Port Mac this weekend and being there to support. We will be missing Sian Keast last years female age group winner but still have some serious contenders for podium spots. That said everyone who crosses the Ironman finish line is a winner. So take it to the Next Level

Age Group Worlds and Kona IM
Age Group Worlds and Kona IM
Taneil Davidson and Sian Reece both succumbed to the heat in their respective World Championship campaigns.
Taneil was hospitalised in Mexico after collapsing in the run at the Olympic Age Group Worlds. Taneil was a genuine podium contender and known for her fast run but was caught out by the very hot conditions. Thankfully she has recovered well.
Sian Reece went to Kona with a top ten finish very much on the cards after winning in Port Mac and training the house down all year. She also succumbed to the conditions but battled on to a credible finish enjoying the experience of finishing in Kona. She will be back

The World 70.3 Championships at Mooloolaba was an awesome event with 2200 internationals making the 3000 athlete start list a proper World Champion event.
Sian Reece finished a credible 13th in a very competitive 30-34 age category but her focus is on the World Ironman Champs in Kona in 4 weeks time. Bill Thornbury cracked the top 10 with an 8th place finish and Brian Corff smashed his PR with a top 350 overall placing and top 25% of his very tough age group. I was just happy to limp home in the top 20 of my age category when I really did not expect to finish.
The Sprint and Olympic Worlds are on this week and Taneil Davidson, John Othergee are two Next Level athletes that will be giving 100%. Results soon.
