The World 70.3 Championships at Mooloolaba was an awesome event with 2200 internationals making the 3000 athlete start list a proper World Champion event.

Sian Reece finished a credible 13th in a very competitive 30-34 age category but her focus is on the World Ironman Champs in Kona in 4 weeks time. Bill Thornbury cracked the top 10 with an 8th place finish and Brian Corff smashed his PR with a top 350 overall placing and top 25% of his very tough age group. I was just happy to limp home in the top 20 of my age category when I really did not expect to finish.

The Sprint and Olympic Worlds are on this week and Taneil Davidson, John Othergee are two Next Level athletes that will be giving 100%. Results soon.

Latest news from Ironman Australia in Port Macquarie. Sian Reece has won the 30 to 34 age group and secured a Kona spot in October. Sian raced an exceptional race and place 6th Female overall, beating half the pro womens field in the process. Sian’s result comes from years of commitment to her training and trusting her Coach to provide her with a training plan that helped her achieve this dream of hers. Congratulations Sian from Me and all the Next Level Athletes.

Exciting news from the All Schools National Championships at Hervey Bay this week. Next Level Coached athletes Emily Farrell and Hannah Hammill, both racing for QLD, finished 9th and 14th in the junior race against the very best in the country. Mark these names for the future.

Getting excited now for the Next Level Athletes racing in Port Maquarie in the Ironman and the 70.3

Last weekend both Taneil Davidson and John Other Gee won silver medals at the national OD Championships in Wollongong. They both are automatically qualified for the Worlds in Mexico and will join Bridgette Taylor who is already qualified for the Sprint Distance World Championships.

Emily Farell and Hannah Hamill came 4th and 6th at the All Schools State Championships and will now race for QLD at the National All Schools Champs.

There will be plenty of exciting racing for Next Level Athletes in 2016. Sian Reece will be vying for a spot at the World Ironman Championships in Kona when she races at Port Mac and Cairns, Taneil Davidson, Bridgette Taylor, John Other Gee, and Michelle Stirling are all gaining points for a spot on the Australian team for sprint and OD racing in the Worlds at Mexico. Bill Thornbury and Sian have qualified to race at the World 70.3 Champs and are likely to be joined by Colin Forrest fresh from his win in Goodawindi.

We also have a number of talented juniors racing at the QLD all Schools Championships. Watch out for Hannah Hammil and Emily Farell in the girls and Adam Guthrie in the boys.

Of course there are many other up and coming age groupers with the group, all looking to take their performances to the Next Level
