The 30th Ironman Australia has come and gone and it was great to race in Port Macquarie again with Next Level athletes Sian Reece, Brendon Boyd and Neil Jones as well as other Bayside athletes. Brendon recorded a 2o minute pb and Sian and Neil raced well despite some stomach issues caused by the flood water in the Hastings river. IM Australia has to be the best race in OZ, challenging course, awesome spectator support and a great place to stay.

I experienced a tough day as a result of some injuries but managed to finish second in my age group to earn a Kona spot and another crack at the World Championships. Thanks to The Athletes Foot, Mizuno and Rival Bikes for gear support
